Kyiv/Beijing: After more than 2 years of Russia-Ukraine war, is something big going to happen, regarding which the movements among the big countries of the world have intensified. In view of the situation in Ukraine which is lagging behind in the continuous war with Russia and in view of all the apprehensions US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reached Ukraine on Tuesday as part of an undeclared diplomatic mission. This has intensified speculation that the war between Ukraine and Russia could reach something more deadly. On the other hand, after the US Secretary of State reached Kiev, Russian President Putin has given rise to many more big apprehensions by announcing that he will go to China on a 2-day visit to Beijing.
At present, after reaching Ukraine, Blinken assured Kiev that America is with it. Ukraine is struggling to defend itself against increasing attacks from Russia. Blinken’s visit comes less than a month after the US Congress approved delayed foreign aid to Ukraine. This aid is separate from the US$60 billion provided to Ukraine. Most of it will be spent on rebuilding badly destroyed artillery and air defense systems. US officials said that this is Blinken’s fourth visit since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and during this he will underline the Biden administration’s commitment to the defense and long-term security of Ukraine.
America is continuously giving help to Ukraine
US officials said President Joe Biden signed the aid package late last month. Apart from this, the Biden administration has already announced US $ 1400 million in short-term military assistance and $ 6 billion in long-term support. National security adviser Jake Sullivan said the Biden administration is “trying to expedite” the delivery of US arms shipments to Ukraine. “I want to say that 100 percent aid is being provided to Ukraine,” Sullivan said at a White House press conference on Monday.
America keeps an eye on Putin’s proposed visit to China
After Blinken’s visit to Kiev, now Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to Beijing on a two-day state visit to China this week. America has kept an eye on this. China’s Foreign Ministry gave this information on Tuesday. The Foreign Ministry said that Putin will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit starting on Thursday. Russia confirmed the visit in a statement, saying Putin would visit China at Xi’s invitation. She said this was Putin’s first foreign trip since his fifth term began.
The disputes between the two big countries are increasing with various democracies and NATO. Both want to establish influence in Africa, West Asia and South America. China has supported Russia’s claim that Putin attacked Ukraine in 2022 due to provocation by Western countries. (AP)
