New Delhi. Passengers landing at Delhi airport’s Terminal 1 and boarding another flight from Terminal 3 will soon not have to carry their check-in luggage. DIAL, the company that manages IGI Airport, is planning to transfer passengers’ luggage inside. Officials said that Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is awaiting approval from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) in this regard. After the proposal is approved, passengers’ check-in luggage will be transferred inside between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
Regarding the changes to be made at IGI Airport, officials said that similarly, an indoor transfer from Terminal-3 to Terminal-1 will also be considered for international flight passengers. Cognizance of pilots’ complaint
Many pilots told the Air Traffic Control Room of Delhi Airport that they face problems due to laser beams. Pilots face the most problems while landing the flight. Apart from this, it also poses a threat to the safety of passengers, crew and aircraft. There are many farm houses, banquet halls, hotels, restaurants in the areas around IGI Airport. Many events are organized here along with marriages and parties. During this time, laser beams, lots of lights and drones are seen in the celebrations. Now this has been banned.
Special Feature
It happens many times that while traveling by plane, you get a layover of a few hours in Delhi or you have to check out early from the hotel, but it is not possible to roam around the airport with heavy luggage. Keeping in mind this problem of domestic and foreign tourists coming to Delhi, a special facility has been started for the passengers flying from Delhi Airport. Under this facility, you can now drop your luggage directly at the airport from two specially designated metro stations of Delhi. However, this facility is not yet available to passengers of all airlines.
