The states that resigned include Navjot Sidhu (Punjab), Ganesh Godiyal (Uttarakhand), Namirkapam Loken Singh (Manipur), Ajay Kumar Lallu (UP) and Girish Chodankar (Goa).
The decision comes two days after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting, which authorized Sonia Gandhi to make “necessary and comprehensive” organizational changes.
The CWC resolution said, “The CWC unanimously reaffirms its belief in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and seeks to lead from the Congress President onwards, address the organizational weaknesses, meet the political challenges and make necessary and comprehensive organizational changes.” request to impress.”
The CWC statement said that the recent assembly election results in five states are a matter of grave concern to the Indian National Congress. The party acknowledges that due to shortcomings in its strategy, we could not effectively expose the misrule of the BJP’s state governments in four states.
