Her relative’s photo was put on the number and the voice was reproduced exactly like that of the woman and they duped her by asking her to borrow five and a half lakh rupees for her grandmother’s treatment.
The woman and her husband were shocked to know about the fraud and they complained about this matter in the cyber police station. The woman told that my nephew lives abroad and we broke the FD in his name and deposited the money. The money was deposited in an account in Bhopal and an account was opened in the name of Anjali. The person speaking was in the voice of my brother-in-law’s son. We have been cheated of Rs 5.5 lakh in the name of help.

Sonipat Cyber Police Station in-charge Basant Singh said that the police is also running an awareness campaign regarding cyber fraud.
