Mumbai . The statement of Congress MP Imran Masood’s statement about the Waqf law has come from Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Rais Sheikh from Maharashtra. He said that we have opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill in the House and will continue to oppose it outside. SP MLA Rais Sheikh said in a conversation with on Tuesday, “It is clear that the Waqf Amendment Bill is against the Constitution. If such a case arises, appropriate action will be taken through Parliament, which is a democratic process. But, the Samajwadi Party’s stand is absolutely clear. We have opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill inside and outside the House and will continue to oppose it completely.”
MLA Rais Sheikh also questioned the statement of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s ‘slamming-killing’. Rais Sheikh said, “He (Nishikant Dubey) has hurt the sentiments of Maharashtra. An FIR should also be filed against him. He is a respected MP, he should realize and apologize.”
On the statement of Union Minister Kiren Rijiju regarding minorities, the SP MLA said, “I am proud that all citizens including minorities are safe in India, but the way the BJP is creating the atmosphere, it targets this goodwill.
