Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Police has prepared a ‘Special 8’ plan to end the increasing terrorist attacks in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Under this, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday deployed 8 SP Operations in 6 districts of Jammu region. This has been done as a precautionary measure in view of the increase in terrorist incidents in this area and the assembly elections in the Union Territory. According to an order issued by Principal Secretary of the Home Department Chandrakar Bharti, eight SPs (Operations) have been deployed in Kathua, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
According to this order, Kathua and Rajouri districts will have two SPs (Operations), while the remaining districts will have one SP Operations each to manage anti-terrorism operations. These SPs will monitor their respective areas, ensuring strict control and increased vigilance. According to the order, Nisar Ahmed has been posted as SP (Operations) for Kandi and border areas in Kathua. While Aumair Iqbal has been assigned Upper Kathua area along with Billawar, Bani, Basholi and Malhar areas.
According to the government order, Charanjit Singh will oversee the operation in Thanamandi, Darhal, Rajouri and Manjakote areas in Rajouri, while Wajahat Hussain will be responsible for Bhudal and Kandi belt. Ifroz Ahmed will take charge of anti-terrorism operations in Kishtwar, Mashkoor Ahmed in Arnas, Gulabgarh, Mahore, Chasana and Pasana areas of Reasi, Prithpal Singh in Basangarh, Dudu and Lati areas of Udhampur, Sachin Gupta in Surankot and Buffliaz areas of Poonch.

According to this latest government order, all these SPs have been transferred from their previous roles as Deputy Commandants in the Armed Police. This decision has come amid heightened security concerns after 18 terrorist incidents in the Jammu region since June 9. It is worth noting that in recent times, many terrorist infiltrations have been carried out from across the border. These terrorists coming from across the border have carried out many dangerous attacks on the army. In which many soldiers have been martyred.
