New Delhi. It has not been decided yet where the 2026 Olympics will be held. But India’s Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has said that we are fully prepared for this. India has not been able to host the Olympics till date. India once hosted the Commonwealth Games. Which was organized in New Delhi in the year 2010. It will be interesting to see whether Anurag Thakur is successful in getting India to host the Olympics or not.
On AnyTV’s show Rising India Summit 2024, Anurag Thakur was asked whether India is hosting the Olympics. On this question, Anurag Thakur said, “Absolutely… we are ready to host the Olympics in India. Youth Olympics in 2030 is ready for Olympic bid in 2026. You should take it for granted that India is going to host the Olympics. By 2026 we will also become the third largest economy in the world. We have shown amazing performance in the Olympics for some time now. Won the most matches in Paralympics. Scored a century for a medal in the Asian Games for the first time.”
Sanju Samson gave a big statement, said- If a player from Kerala wants to make a place in the team then…
What would you have been if you were not a leader?
Anurag Thakur was also asked that what would you have been if you were not a cricketer? On this Anurag Thakur said, “If I had not been a leader, I would have been a cricketer. I still play cricket. I am also the serving captain. When England cricketers came here, they had said that the most beautiful stadium in the world is in Dharamshala. For the first time, more than 4000 people came from UK to watch the India match. This is a big thing in itself.
