But in the end, Sreeja Akula won. Akula defeated Zheng 4-2 in a tough match. Sreeja won 9-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-5, 10-12, 12-10. Sreeja lost the first game. But after that she made a strong comeback and won the match. This match between the two players lasted for 51 minutes.
Lovlina made it to the quarter finals
In boxing, Lovlina Borgohain has made it to the quarter-finals. She defeated Sunniva Hofstad 5-0 in a one-sided manner. Sunniva could not stand in front of Lovlina and Lovlina performed brilliantly. She did not give any chance to the opponent boxer. She had no problem in winning the match. At the end of the match, all the judges gave the decision in favor of Lovlina.
India has won a total of two medals so far
India has won a total of 2 bronze medals so far in the Paris Olympics 2024 and is at number 35 in the medal tally. Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal for India in the 10 meter air pistol individual event. After this, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in the mixed event of 10 meter air pistol. Manu has become the first Indian female player to win two medals in an Olympics for India.
