IPL 2024 SRH vs MI: The 8th match of IPL 2024 was played between the teams of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. In this match, many big records of IPL were broken and the biggest score was also seen. In this match both the teams together scored 523 runs. Before this, 500 runs had not been scored in any IPL match. In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 31 runs.
Hyderabad made the biggest score of IPL
In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad, batting first, scored 277 runs for three wickets against Mumbai Indians, which is a new record in the Indian Premier League IPL. Before this, no team had made such a big score in an IPL match. Sunrisers’ batsmen scored a lot of runs from the beginning till the end, due to which their team was successful in leaving behind RCB’s record of 263 runs for five wickets set against Pune Warriors in 2013.
Brilliant innings by SRH batsmen
In this match, Travis Head scored 62 runs on 24 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes, while Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs on 23 balls which included three fours and seven sixes. After both of them were out, Heinrich Klaasen scored unbeaten 80 runs on 34 balls. Which included four fours and seven sixes. After this Aiden Markram scored unbeaten 42 off 28 balls. Markram hit two fours and a six. An unbroken partnership of 116 runs on 55 balls was also seen between Klaasen and Markram.
Mumbai Indians batsmen gave their full strength
Even though Sunrisers Hyderabad had given a target of 278 runs. But Mumbai Indians batsmen also performed brilliantly, but fell short of the target by 31 runs. Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs in 12 balls for Mumbai. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan gave a fast start to the team by scoring 34 runs in 13 balls. After this Naman Dheer scored 30 runs on 14 balls. Tilak Verma was the highest run scorer for the team. He scored 64 runs on 34 balls. Whereas, Tim David remained unbeaten after scoring 42 runs on 22 balls.
