Sri Lanka shattered Pakistan’s dream, won thrillingly, reached Asia Cup final

Sri Lanka started by beating Bangladesh, defeated them by 7 wickets


New Delhi. The final of the Women’s Asia Cup will be a clash between India and host Sri Lanka. Team India defeated Bangladesh and booked its berth in the final, while Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in a thrilling match. Batting first, Pakistan scored 140 runs for 4 wickets. Host Sri Lanka achieved this target in the last over. Captain Chamari Atapattu scored a brilliant fifty to win the match.

Sri Lanka’s captain Chamari Atapattu won the toss and chose to bowl first against Pakistan in the semi-final. Openers Gul Feroza and Muniba Ali gave the team a solid start and shared a half-century partnership. Feroza was out after scoring 25 runs while Muniba scored 37 runs. Both these batsmen were dismissed by Udeshika Prabodhini. Pakistan’s captain Nida Dar was out after scoring 23 runs and apart from her no other batsman could play a big innings. Pakistan scored 140 runs for 4 wickets.
