Health Minister inaugurated the state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator and CT Simulator machines
Jaipur,. Now cancer patients will be able to get world class treatment from the state-of-the-art radiotherapy machine at the State Cancer Institute. This machine destroys cancer tumors in a very short time. Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar inaugurated the Linear Accelerator Machines and CT Simulator Machine installed in the Radiation Oncology Department at the Institute. These are the latest radiotherapy machines in the state.
On this occasion, while talking to the media, the Health Minister said that the commissioning of these ultramodern machines installed at a cost of about 54 crore rupees will be of great help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast, lung, head and neck cancer. The treatment which costs lakhs of rupees will be available free of cost here. These machines will bring accuracy in tumor detection and radiotherapy and cancer patients will be able to get world-class treatment.
Rapid healing with focused radiation
Superintendent of State Cancer Institute, Dr. Sandeep Jasuja said that these linear accelerator machines of radiotherapy give much more focused radiation exposure, due to which the treatment time has reduced a lot and treatment has also become easier. The latest machines can do stereo taxi surgery, which can eliminate the tumor in one go. Along with this, the nearby cancer cells also get destroyed. In this, the entire radiation procedure is over in 2 minutes. Like before, patients undergoing radiotherapy will not have blackening of the skin and other side effects due to this machine. Its biggest advantage will be that there will be no damage to the nearby organs at the time of radiation exposure.
Virtual planning will be done in the machine before treating the patient
By scanning the patient with the new CT simulator machine, the treatment can be planned virtually in the software itself. This will make the treatment more accurate and the complications arising during treatment can be managed better. All these machines will start providing services from Friday. Such technology is available at only a few centers in the entire country.
Present at the inauguration ceremony were Principal Secretary of Medical and Health Department Gayatri Rathore, Medical Education Secretary Ambarish Kumar, Medical Education Commissioner Iqbal Khan, Principal of SMS Medical College Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, Superintendent Dr. Sushil Bhati, Head of Radiation Oncology Department of State Cancer Institute Dr. Shantanu Sharma, Senior Professor of Oncology Department Dr. Rameshwaram Sharma and Dr. Ravindra Singh Gothwal along with other officials.
