At the time of market closing, out of the 30 stocks of Sensex, only 4 stocks were on the green mark and 26 were on the red mark. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed at 24,530 today, down 1.09 percent or 269 points. At the time of market closing, out of the 50 stocks of Nifty, 4 stocks were on the green mark and 46 stocks were on the red mark.

These stocks fell the most

The biggest losers in the Nifty pack today were Tata Steel (4.97%), JSW Steel (4.68%), BPCL (3.98%), Hindalco (3.91%), ONGC (3.44%). Meanwhile, Infosys, ITC, Asian Paints and Britannia (5.7%) witnessed a rise in the stock market.

All sectoral indices closed in red

On Friday, the last trading day of the week, all sectoral indices closed in the red. The biggest decline was recorded in Nifty Metal by 3.96 percent, Nifty Oil & Gas by 2.78 percent, Nifty Auto by 2.42 percent, Nifty Bank by 0.76 percent, Nifty Financial Services 25/50 by 1.17 percent, Nifty FMCG by 0.26 percent, Nifty IT by 0.21 percent, Nifty Pharma by 1.64 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 1.51 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.94 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index by 1.71 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 1.96 percent and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 1.58 percent.
