Stock Market Close: The Indian stock market closed with a rise in Friday’s trading session. All major indexes closed in the green. Sensex closed at 72,831 points, up 190 points or 0.26 percent, and Nifty closed at 22,096 points, up 84.80 points or 0.39 percent. A bullish trend has also been seen in banking shares. Nifty Bank fell 178 points or 0.38 percent to close at 46,863 points.
The number of shares rising on NSE was higher. At the same time, buying was also seen in midcap and smallcap shares. The Nifty Smallcap 100 index closed in the green by 96 points or 0.64 per cent at 15,056.75 points and the Nifty Midcap 100 index closed in the green by 279 points or 0.59 per cent at 47,312 points. Today, growth has been seen in auto, PSU, finance, pharma, realty, media, energy and infra stocks.

At the same time, shares of NTPC, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Tech, Wipro and Infosys closed in the red.
