Indian The stock market opened with a gain on Monday, the first trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened at 75,655.46 today as against the previous close of 75,410.39 points. In early trade, the Sensex was seen trading at 75,462 with a very marginal gain of 0.05 percent or 29 points. In early trade, out of the 50 Sensex stocks, 14 stocks were seen trading in the green and 16 in the red. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was seen trading at 22,953 points in early trade with a very marginal gain of 0.02 percent or 3.45 points. In early trade, out of the 50 Sensex stocks, 20 stocks were seen trading in the green and 30 in the red.
These stocks rose
Among the Nifty pack stocks, Divis Lab registered the highest gain of 4.79 per cent. Apart from this, shares of HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, TCS and Adani Ports were also seen trading with gains. At the same time, Adani Enterprises registered the highest decline of 3.18 per cent. Apart from this, ONGC declined by 2.26 per cent, Wipro by 2.12 per cent, Coal India by 1.72 per cent and Eicher Motors by 1.53 per cent.
Status of sectoral indices
Talking about sectoral indices, the highest gain was recorded in Nifty Realty at 0.90 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Bank gained 0.48 percent, Nifty Financial Services gained 0.45 percent, Nifty FMCG gained 0.12 percent, Nifty IT gained 0.37 percent, Nifty Pharma gained 0.65 percent, Nifty Private Bank gained 0.52 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index gained 0.53 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables gained 0.12 percent, and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare gained 0.35 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Oil & Gas declined by 1.04 percent, Nifty PSU Bank declined by 0.11 percent, Nifty Metal declined by 0.35 percent, Nifty Media declined by 0.96 percent, and Nifty Auto declined by 0.66 percent.
