The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share index Sensex slipped 203 points to open at 52,639, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty index lost 62 points to start trading at 15,800 levels. It is worth noting that at the end of trading on the last trading day, the BSE Sensex closed at 52,843 level, taking a huge fall of 1491 points or 2.74 per cent. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty index slipped 382 points or 2.35 per cent to close at 15,863.
