During this, he has scored 1378 runs at an average of 29.32. Masood has scored four centuries and six half-centuries. He played his last Test match against New Zealand at Hagley Oval on 3 January 2021.

Talking about the match, Pakistan team won the toss and decided to bat. He scored 476 for four in the first innings. Azhar Ali scored 185 and Imam-ul-Haq scored 157 runs for him. At the same time, the Australian team scored 459 runs in 140.1 overs. Usman Khawaja scored 97, Labuschagne 90, Steve Smith 78, David Warner 68 and Cameron Greene 48. Numan Ali took six wickets for Pakistan.
When Pakistan scored 252 runs without losing a wicket in the second innings, on the fifth day both the teams agreed on a draw. Imam scored 111 and Abdullah Shafiq scored 136 runs in the second innings as well.
