Hanumangarh. Everyone has to live in dignity on the frame of law, whether it is a common citizen or a highly placed officer. Hanumangarh SP Arshad Ali had a direct experience when he was sent to judicial custody of two hours on indiscipline with the judicial officer in the court. The IPS officer later regretted before the court. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Series-6, Mahanagar I had summoned the SP for the main testimony in a case related to the Drugs and Cosmetic Act, IPC and Animal Kurta Act. The court had earlier issued his bailable warrants since 2019, but he did not appear. The arrest warrant was then issued, after which he appeared.
Indefinition and judicial custody in court
During the appearance, SP Arshad Ali objected to the arrest warrant and spoke of appearance through video conferencing. On this, Judge Kalpana Pareek clarified that if he had already applied in this regard, the decision could have been taken. But instead of accepting the mistake, the SP made discomfort, on which the court sent him to two -hour judicial custody through the Challani guard with immediate effect. Actually, he was responding while sitting on the chair in front of the presiding officer.
The SP later regretted and said that the court adopted a human view and allowed them to record the statement by sitting on the chair.
Dara Singh is associated with encounter
It is worth noting that SP Arshad Ali’s name Dara Singh has also been associated with the encounter case, in which he was in jail for many years along with other police officers. However, the court later convicted all.
All equal in front of judicial dignity
This case shows that discipline in the judicial system is paramount, no matter what in front. This tough stance of the court will be an example for such cases in the future that respect for the judiciary should be the highest priority.
