New Delhi . Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken a big step on matters of having Indian identity cards like Aadhaar cards like illegal citizens in Delhi. On Friday, the Lieutenant Governor gave strict instructions to the officials of Delhi and said that now there will be no negligence in the Aadhaar enrollment process. The Lieutenant Governor Secretariat wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of Delhi on Friday. He requested to implement strict rules for issuing Aadhaar card. The Lieutenant Governor has asked to do the nomination process on ‘in-house model’. Also, the Chief Secretary has sought a list of all the Aadhaar enrollment centers of Delhi till 15 July.
In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary, the Lieutenant Governor Secretariat wrote, “The responsibilities of the registrars of the Delhi government, especially the field level implementation, monitoring and verification procedures are needed. Adopt. “
The letter wrote, “In many cases, people living illegally have obtained Aadhaar card by hiding wrong documents or facts. One of its side effects is that such individuals later also get documents like passport and voter ID card, which certify citizenship. Apart from this, they also take advantage of all the schemes of the Central and State Government. Once upon a time, they also get admission in the jobs after getting the Aadhaar cards, after getting the Aadhaar cards, they also get the strategies of the local people, which are also admitted to the jobs. This situation is also a matter of serious concern for national security. “
The Lt. Governor Secretariat has told the Chief Secretary, “It is clear from the UIDAI’s office memorandum of 14 October 2022 that the machines and operators used for Aadhaar enrollment should be either regular employees of the concerned registrar or employed on salary basis from a recognized manpower agency. Also, they are mandatory to be trained as per the prescribed training standards. The current situation should be provided in this regard.”
The Lieutenant Governor has directed that Aadhaar enrollment is a sensitive process. Therefore, it is necessary to decide the responsibility of the person collecting the data before the enrollment so that accountability can be ensured in the event of an omission. If an employee cooperates in the Aadhaar enrollment of illegal migrants, then strict action should be taken against him.
