Chhatarpur, Maharajpur. naiduniya representative
These days new cases of arbitrariness are coming to the fore in gram panchayats. The Sarpanch-Secretary has arbitrarily started the construction of a drain by cutting the paved CC road of the village in the village of Diwanju, village of Matondhabesan, the village panchayat of Naugaon. Which the villagers are vehemently opposing.
In the village of Diwanju near Maharajpur, where the excavation work is being done for the construction of the drain, on one side there is the land of the sarpanch of the panchayat. In order to save this land from digging itself, the Sarpanch-Secretary has started excavation for drain construction work by cutting the already built CC road. On this matter, there is anger among the villagers against the Sarpanch-Secretary. Villagers have started protesting strongly against this work. The villagers allege that the government land lying on the side of the CC road should be dug for the drain. Adjacent to this government land is the Sarpanch’s farm. For this reason, in order to save his land, the Sarpanch is bent on reducing its width by excavating the already laid CC road in the village. Due to the reduction in the width of the CC road, it will be difficult for the vehicles to move from here. The villagers have expressed their displeasure against the arbitrariness of the Sarpanch-Secretary. He says that a complaint will be made to the authorities regarding this. Once this work is completed, the villagers will always face trouble and the Sarpanch will also take possession of the government land lying on the side of the CC road. This arbitrariness will not be allowed at all.

I have not got the full charge of Panchayat yet. The work of drain construction is being done by the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat. All the CC roads that have been cut will be re-constructed by the sarpanch only. The work of construction of drain will be done as per rules.

Rs 15.50 lakh without digging pond, well
In the village panchayat Nandgai Battan of Bijawar section, the officials of the panchayat have fraudulently withdrawn 15 lakh 50 thousand rupees without digging the pond and Kapil Dhara well. The villagers have demanded an inquiry and action. Panchayat representatives have become so unbridled that even the warnings of registering an FIR in the police station under the instructions of the top officials and taking strict action if the disturbances are caught are ineffective. Villagers of Gram Panchayat Nadgayan Battan told that the employment assistant has fraudulently withdrawn Rs 9.70 lakh of Naveen Talab Yojna and Rs 4.80 lakh of 6 Kapildhara well without getting the work done. A villager of village Baharganj of the panchayat told that he had got the soil binding work done on his farm on 16 September 2020. For which he had to get 22 thousand 292 rupees, but the entire amount has been taken out. In Sunda Haar, on 2nd August 2020, the work of new farm pond was approved at a cost of 14 lakh 84 thousand. 7 lakh 90 thousand rupees have been withdrawn by doing a little work for this. Similarly, Guljari Rakwar of Ontapurwa, Gram Panchayat of Rajnagar Janpad Panchayat had prevented erosion of the soil by building a wall near the Chunari drain of the village many years ago by letting the water of the drain go to the fields. Regarding this wall, the Panchayat representatives made a proposal and got the budget passed, then after telling it as a new work, took a photo of that wall and took out a total of one lakh 17 thousand rupees including 67 thousand in the name of Majid Ali and 50 thousand in the name of Harishchandra Patel. The amount has been embezzled.
