New Delhi. The holy festival of Raksha Bandhan is being celebrated with great pomp across the country today. On this occasion, a special program was organized at the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which girl students from various schools of Delhi participated. The girl students tied a Rakhi on the hand of Prime Minister Modi and made this special occasion even more emotional. This time the Rakhi was something different and special. The Rakhi had a photo of Prime Minister Modi’s late mother, Hiraben Modi. In this photo, PM Modi is seen washing his mother’s feet. This scene touched the heart of every Indian. The message of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was also written with the Rakhi, which not only gives the message of environmental protection, but also shows respect for mother and Mother Earth.

Prime Minister Modi has started the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ in which every citizen is being encouraged to plant a tree. This campaign not only promotes environmental protection but is also a medium to show respect towards motherhood and Mother Earth. This occasion of Rakshabandhan was the right time to spread this campaign to the masses. The way the girl students expressed their feelings through Rakhi is really emotional.
