Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government is committed to make the transport system more strong, safe and facilitated. In view of future requirements, the action plans are being launched on the ground by setting targets. He said that providing such facilities in Rajasthan Roadways buses, so that the cars also be motivated to travel in buses.
Sharma was addressing a review meeting of Transport and Road Safety Department and Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. He directed to organize training seminars for all personnel including roadways driver, operator. In this, detailed information should be given about topics like modernization of roadways bus facilities, all participation in well -organized transport, hygiene and cradle of rules. He instructed to provide all facilities at roadways bus stand and rest sites and develop them in the same color.
The Chief Minister said that the Road Transport Corporation should expand facilities in view of the future. Innovation should be made to provide food and mustard products in buses with a safe journey. He instructed to conduct a time -bound operation of buses by creating a dedicated route for famous religious places. He said that install cameras and GPS in buses. Public transport buses should also be colored. Before registration of new buses, their body quality check should also be made mandatory.
Strict action and strict monitoring instructions-
Sharma gave instructions for strict action and monitoring against personnel, overload and overseas drivers who misused the post. Officials informed that the command and control room of the Transport Vehicle Location Tracking and Emergency Alert System will be started soon. Also, digitization of buses from the Rajdhara app of the Department of Information Technology and Communications will also be digitized soon.
The Chief Minister said that before issuing new permits, determine the route, in which special attention should be taken of hospitals, educational institutions, state offices. Make ensure time bound to procure and operate new buses. Rajasthan vehicle scrap policy should be implemented soon and automatic testing stations should also be started. Mr. Sharma said that other states of the country should be studied for well -organized transport services. Suggestions should also be invited from experts.
Sharma said that road safety is the collective responsibility of all of us. Everyone should maintain transport rules, only then road accidents can be prevented. He said that electric vehicles have an important role in environmental protection, promoting clean energy and making public transport more convenient. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa and concerned departmental officers were present.
