Jasraj Siyag, who supplies millions of doda poppy and opium milk, behind bars
Jodhpur. The Sedwa police station has got a big success under the special operation operations being run on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, Jodhpur Range. Police arrested the main accused Jasraj Siyag from Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh after being released on interim bail in a case of NDPS Act. The accused was involved in the supply of 189 kg 700 grams of illegal doda poppy and 6 kg 300 grams of illegal opium milk.
Barmer SP Narendra Singh Meena said that Jasraj Siyag was arrested on 6 June 2024 at Sedwa police station in a case related to illegal drug purchasing and smuggling. Later he received an interim bail of 30 days from Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur from 30 May 2025 to 28 June. He was supposed to surrender to Barmer District Jail by 5 pm on June 28, but he escaped instead of surrendering. After this, Additional District and Sessions Judge Court issued an arrest warrant against him.
SP Meena Meena had directed to arrest the absconding accused as soon as possible. On this, a special team of Assistant Sub-Inspector Bijraj Singh was formed under the leadership of Sedwa Thanadikari Deep Singh. The team arrested the absconding accused Jasraj Siyag son Piraram alias Poonmaram resident Sarano, using intelligence information and technical assistance, arrested the police station Sindhri district Balotra from Neemuch Madhya Pradesh.
There are already four major criminal cases against Jasraj Siyag, which includes weapons with illegal drug smuggling at Pali’s Nana police station and to attack a government employee, Sadar Nimbahera of Chittorgarh, Sadar Nimbahera of Chittorgarh, the purchase and storage of illegal drugs at Shiva police station in Barmer and the recent case of Sedwa police station, including the purchase-development of illegal narcotics.
Since Jasraj was also wanted at Nana police station of Siyag Pali and Sadar Nimbahera police station of Chittorgarh, the Sedwa police have informed the concerned district police about his arrest.
The arrested police team included ASI Bijraj Singh, Head Constable Asuram, Urjaram from SHO Deep Singh from the police station Sedwa.
