Churu Under the direction of District Collector Abhishek Surana, an air strike mock drill was successfully organized under Operation ‘Practice’ at Grand Shekhawati Hotel at Churu District Headquarters on Wednesday. The mock drill was organized under the joint aegis of the District Administration, Police Department, Civil Defense Department, Medical Department and other concerned departments, whose main objective was to test quick and effective response capacity in emergency.
District Collector Surana said that the mock drill held at the district headquarters was aimed at testing the response time of emergency services and improving the quality in emergency situations like the air strike. The ability of coordination and cooperation between various agencies was tested through mock drills.
He said that there was a report of air strike at Grand Shekhawati Hotel at Churu Headquarters at 04 pm. As soon as the information was received, the incident was immediately reported to the emergency services by the District Control Room. Emergency information was broadcast by playing Siren at the railway station. As soon as the information was received, the police and other concerned agencies reached the spot and surrounded the areas around the spot and took the citizens to safe places. Along with this, action was taken to find explosive material etc. The injured were given primary aid and the seriously injured persons were sent to the nearest hospitals.
He said that a total of 35 persons were casualty in the air strike, out of which 03 people were very serious, 07 people were seriously injured and 25 people were injured. The very serious and serious injured were immediately sent to the Government DB General Hospital and 01 persons affiliated to the medical college, where the team of doctors posted in the Burn Ward, Troma Ward, Emergency Ward gave necessary treatment. During this period, a total of 10 ambulances and the team posted in it took the injured to the hospital. District Collector Abhishek Surana and SP Jai Yadav reached the hospital and took stock of the arrangements. Tehsildar Ashok Gora in the hospital reported treatment of the injured while reporting related arrangements.
He said that coordination was established between police, medical, fire fighting and other emergency services. Various agencies together cooperated in controlling the situation and relief work.
Expressing satisfaction over the success of the mock drill, District Collector Abhishek Surana said that this mock drill gave us an opportunity to evaluate the ability of quick and effective response in emergency situations. Coordination and awareness of citizens between various agencies will prove to be quite useful in such situations.
Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav said that the practice helped understand quick and organized response in an air strike -like situation. These types of exercises will be helpful in ensuring quick and effective response in emergency situations in the future.
