The tiger, who entered a house in Mardu village in Ranchi district of Jharkhand, was locked in a safe cage after a 14 -hour long operation. The campaign was the first such operation in the history of the wildlife rescue of the state, in which the tiger was successful in catching them alive. In this rescue operation, a joint team of Palamu Tiger Reserve and Ranchi Forest Division played an important role.
When the local people of the village saw the tiger, immediately informed the forest department. The forest department team reached the spot and made a special plan to catch the tiger. In this operation which lasted for 14 hours, every step was taken carefully keeping in mind the condition of the tiger and the safety of the village. The team captured the tiger in a cage safely, so that it could be sent back to the forest without any loss.
The rescue team reported that the length of the tiger was about 8 feet, and it somehow entered the village while walking throughout the area. The tiger entered this village had created an atmosphere of fear in the area, but the promptness of the forest department succeeded in safely catching the tiger.
The success of this operation is considered a major achievement from the point of view of wildlife conservation. The forest department evaluated the status of the tiger and said that it would soon be released to a safe place in the forest.
Officials of Palamu Tiger Reserve said that the team has now left for the forest with the tiger and all necessary steps will be taken to leave it in a safe place. Local people and wildlife lovers are appreciating this successful rescue operation and it is expected that such efforts will ensure safety of wildlife in the state.
