Mumbai Airport: You must remember the case of an elderly passenger dying at Mumbai airport a few months ago due to non-availability of wheelchair. After coming to know about this incident, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) not only took a very strict stand but also imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on the airlines. After this strict action of DGCA, it was expected that now the airlines will be concerned about the convenience of needy passengers.
But, after seeing a new incident that has come to light from Mumbai airport, it seems that this did not happen, despite strict action, the airlines are still following their old ways. This incident is of around 5 pm on 10th June. Many passengers were waiting for their flight outside boarding gate number 51 to come from Mumbai to Delhi. After waiting for a few minutes, the airline personnel started making noise and soon a long queue of passengers was formed outside the boarding gate.
