New Delhi. On Friday evening, a cloud burst near the holy Amarnath cave located in South Kashmir. Now 15 people have been confirmed dead in this sudden incident, while 40 are still said to be missing. Teams of Army, ITBP and NDRF are engaged in rescue and search for missing people. The Union Territory Government has canceled the leave of health workers. Several helpline numbers have been issued. Deepak Chauhan, a resident of Hardoi in UP, told the sight of the incident. Deepak Chauhan told that “Stampede-like situation had arisen but the army cooperated a lot. Many pandals were washed away due to the floods.”
Another devotee from Maharashtra said that the sudden flood after the cloudburst brought with it many stones. The devotee told that we were about two kilometers away from the spot. We couldn’t believe it when the cloud burst. After a while, I saw water everywhere. We were in a group of eight people. Every member of our group got saved safely by the grace of Bhole Baba. The devotee told that we saw people flowing in the flood that came after the cloudburst. Our experience was very scary.

‘Many tents and community kitchens destroyed’
Police and NDRF officials have told about this incident that many tents and community kitchens have been destroyed in the case. 31 mm of rain within 2 hours
According to officials, the cloud burst around 5.30 pm amid heavy rain. As soon as the clouds broke, a thick stream of water and silt started flowing towards the valley from the slopes of the mountain. According to the automatic weather station of the cave, 31 mm of rain fell from 4.30 to 6.30 pm.
