Kolkata. In the case of rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, opposition parties are not only questioning Mamata Banerjee’s government and Kolkata Police, similar sentiments are being seen within the ruling TMC as well. Mamata Banerjee’s TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has demanded that the CBI should conduct an inquiry and take the former principal of the medical college and the Kolkata Police Commissioner into custody and interrogate them. He said that this inquiry will reveal who and why spread the news of the female doctor’s suicide.
CBI must act fairly. Custodial interrogation of Ex Principal and Police Commissioner is a must to know who and why floated suicide story. Why wall of hall demolished, who patronized Roy to be so powerful, Why sniffer dog used after 3 days.100s of such questions. Make them speak

Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has also raised the question that why the wall of the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College was broken. Who made Sanjay Rai, the accused of rape and murder, so powerful and why were sniffer dogs brought to the spot 3 days after the incident. TMC MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has said that there are hundreds of such questions. The former principal and the police commissioner should explain about this. Let us tell you that before this Sukhendu Shekhar Roy had also staged a dharna with the protesting doctors outside RG Kar Medical College. He is the only leader of Mamata Banerjee’s party who has taken a different stand from other TMC leaders in the case of rape and murder of a female doctor.
A female doctor was brutally murdered in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata on the intervening night of 8 and 9 August 2024. The police had arrested civic volunteer Sanjay Rai in this case. It is being discussed that the female doctor was gang-raped. In view of all the serious allegations being made in this case, the Calcutta High Court has given the responsibility of exposing the entire case to the CBI and the investigating agency is doing its work rapidly.
