Sukma. A major success has been achieved in the ongoing encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. Security forces killed Jagdish alias Budhra, the leading leader of the Naxalites, after which the number of Naxalites killed has reached 17.
Jagdish aka Budhra Darbha was in charge of Division and had a reward of Rs 25 lakh. He was a resident of village Pitdabba, Thana Kukanar, and Village Paurgudem, Thana Palm in Sukma district. At the age of 40, Budhra was playing an important role in the Naxalite organization. He was also involved in the Jhiram murder case, which was a major political violence case. Apart from this, he was also a part of the incident in 2023 in Aranpur in Sukma district, in which the DRG (District Reserve Guard) soldiers were killed.
This encounter is considered to be a big success for the security forces, as the death of a big Naxalite leader like Budhra is an important step in the ongoing fight against the Naxalism of the security forces.
Let us know that the joint team of DRG and CRPF started the operation on March 28 after getting information about the presence of Naxalites. The action took place near Uppampalli village, where Naxalites arrived to take ration. The security forces started searching and firing in the area a day earlier, followed by a major encounter.
Sukma officials say the operation is being intensified and strict action is being taken against the Naxalites. Police and security forces are now conducting search operations in areas around the encounter site, so that other Naxalites can be caught. After the encounter, the security system in the area has been tightened and caution has been increased in the surrounding areas.
