Bikaner. Swachhta Hi Seva Fortnight at Swami Keshavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University concluded with a cleanliness drive on Gandhi Jayanti on Wednesday. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar, Research Director Dr. Vijay Prakash, Extension Director Dr. P.S. Shekhawat, Agriculture College Dean Dr. P.K. Yadav, IABM Director, in the cleanliness campaign program organized by the Directorate of Student Welfare in the Agricultural University campus. Dr. I.P.Singh, Director of Student Welfare Dr. Nirmal Singh Dahiya, Liaison Officer Dr. Y.K.Singh, SIMCA in-charge Dr. Sujit Kumar Yadav, Dr. V.S.Acharya, Dr. Neena Sarin of Community Science College, Dr. Manju Rathod, Dr. CP Meena, NSS Program Officer of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Parimita, Program Officer of the College of Community Sciences, NCC Incharge Dr. R.K. Jakhar, wardens of all the hostels and a large number of NCC, NSS students participated. Everyone carried out a cleaning campaign for about an hour by using brooms. Before this, on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar and all the Deans, Directors and students of the Agricultural University displayed the pictures of both the great men in the Student Welfare Directorate campus. Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar said that Swachhta Hi Seva Fortnight was celebrated in the Agricultural University from August 15 to October 2. Under this, students of Agricultural College Bikaner, IABM and Community Science College cleaned the hostels, Agricultural University offices, roads etc. Considering cleanliness as the basis of life, a cleanliness campaign was conducted. Even at the end of the cleanliness drive, agricultural university offices, main roads etc. were cleaned. The Vice Chancellor said that in the program everyone was motivated to keep the Agricultural University campus clean and green. By organizing cleanliness fortnight, awareness about cleanliness has been created among the students also.
Student Welfare Director Dr. Nirmal Singh Dahiya said that under the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign, a daily cleanliness campaign was conducted in all agricultural colleges, IABM, Community Science Colleges from August 15 to October 2. In which students participated enthusiastically. Students were motivated to keep the hostels and college campus clean.
Message of good health given through cycling
The special thing is that Vice Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar reached the cleanliness campaign program organized in the Agricultural University campus on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, cycling from his residence to the venue of the program. With this, he also gave the message to the students and staff to use bicycles as much as possible and maintain good health through cycling.
