Swami Prasad Maurya, who left the post of minister in the Yogi cabinet and joined the SP, has once again accused the EVMs of rigging for the defeat of the Samajwadi Party. Swami Prasad Maurya, who also failed to win his seat in Fazilnagar, has said that Samajwadi Party won more than 300 seats in ballot paper voting, but BJP won in EVMs. Explaining the difference between the two, he said that some big game has happened.
Swami Prasad Maurya wrote on the social media platform Ku, “In the ballot paper voting, the Samajwadi Party has won 304 seats, while the BJP only 99. But BJP won the election in EVM count, it means some big game has happened. It is believed that most of the government employees voted for the SP because of the promise of implementing the old pension scheme if the government is formed by the SP.
Samajwadi Party has been accusing EVMs of rigging ever since exit polls showed BJP leading. Many leaders of the party and coalition, including party president Akhilesh Yadav, have accused the EVMs of tampering. In UP, the BJP alliance got 273 seats, while the SP alliance got reduced to 125 seats. Swami Prasad Maurya, who claimed to have won the SP, also lost the election from Fazilnagar by a huge margin.
