Why was Shubman Gill out of the team?
Shubhman Gill has played only 6 Tests and 1 T20 match for Team India this year. He has scored 498 runs in Test and 23 runs in T20. At the same time, he is currently playing for Gujarat team in IPL. He has not been able to leave his mark in this league. So far, he has scored only 320 runs in 10 matches at an average of 35.56. During this period, he has been able to touch the 50 run mark only twice.
Shubman Gill’s performance in the year 2023
The year 2023 was very memorable for Gill. During these 12 months, he became the fastest player to score two thousand runs in ODIs and also scored five centuries in ODIs. He played century innings in all three formats last year. Shubman Gill played a total of 48 matches for Team India in the year 2023. During this period, he took part in 6 Tests, 29 ODIs and 13 T20 matches. In the test he scored 258 runs with the help of 1 century. In ODIs he added 1584 runs at an average of 63.36. Whereas, in T20, Gill scored 312 runs at an average of 26.00.
