New Delhi. South Africa has reached the final of the T20 World Cup. In the semi-finals, it bowled out Afghanistan, which had high hopes, for just 56 runs. Due to this excellent performance of its bowlers, South Africa managed to give its best performance in the World Cup history. After the African bowlers, the batsmen also performed well. South Africa achieved the target by losing one wicket in 8.5 overs.
South Africa has made it to the final of the T20 World Cup for the first time. Before this, it had reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup twice (2009, 2014), but could not make it to the final. Pakistan defeated South Africa in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2009. Whereas in 2014, India eliminated it before the final.
South Africa may face India or England in the final. The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup is to be played between India and England. This match will be played in Georgetown, Guyana at 8 pm (Indian time).
Afghanistan, which reached the semi-finals after defeating teams like Australia and New Zealand, disappointed its fans in the match against South Africa. After winning the toss and batting first, the entire Afghanistan team was all out after scoring 56 runs in 71 balls. Azmatullah Omarzai was the top scorer for Afghanistan. He scored 10 runs. And no other batsman could touch double figures. Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mohammad Nabi and Noor Ali could not even open their account. Afghanistan got 13 runs as extras.
Tabrez Shamsi and Marco Jansen took the most wickets from Afghanistan. Both of them took 3 wickets each. Shamsi bowled just 11 balls and took 3 wickets in that. Marco Jansen took 3 wickets for 16 runs. Kagiso Rabada and Enrique Norkia took two wickets each.
