New Delhi. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Gurucharan Singh Sodhi has returned home. Today, after being missing for several days, he himself has returned home. The family members had lodged an FIR regarding his missing in Delhi. On his return, Sodhi was interrogated by the police. In which he told that he had left the worldly life and left home on a religious journey. He stayed in Gurudwaras in many cities like Amritsar, Ludhiana. But he realized that he should return home, so he returned home.
It is noteworthy that the mystery of the disappearance of actor Gurcharan Singh, who played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, had deepened. Delhi Police found that the actor was using 27 different email accounts due to the fear of being ‘surveilled’ by someone. According to a police officer associated with the investigation, the actor suspected that he was being ‘surveilled’, due to which he frequently changed his email accounts. Actor Gurucharan Singh (51 years) was to take a flight from here to Mumbai on the evening of 22 April, but he did not reach his destination. His father, who lives in Palam, had informed the local police when he could not contact him on phone.
A case was registered at Palam police station on April 26 under section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (kidnapping with intent to take out of India or secretly confine) a police official said. The officer said that a police team was assigned the task of tracing the actor’s location from his mobile phone. The officer said that Singh’s mobile phone was found switched off since 9.22 pm on April 22. Based on CCTV footage, his last location was traced to Dabri in south-west Delhi, where he reached in an e-rickshaw hired from near the IGI airport.
