New Delhi:Expressing concern to British PM Rishi Sunak about the security of Indian diplomatic premises in Britain, Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanded strict action against anti-India elements. PM Modi had a telephonic conversation with Sunak on Thursday. In the conversation of both, there was also discussion on increasing the bilateral relations between India and Britain. There was an in-depth discussion on partnerships, especially in the trade and economic sectors. Modi also wanted to know from Sunak how far the process of extradition of economic offenders who fled from India has progressed. In the conversation, British PM Sunak expressed full support for the ongoing G-20 celebrations under the chairmanship of India. Modi congratulated Sunak on the eve of Baisakhi. PM Narendra Modi told his counterpart Rishi Sunak that anti-India elements in Britain taking law into their hands without fear is worrying. He was referring to the recent attacks by the Khalistanis. The PM said that Britain should take strong action against such elements. On this, British PM Sunak assured PA Modi that there would be no lapse in the security of Indian embassies in Britain. He said that the way the Indian High Commission in London was attacked, it cannot be accepted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also raised the issue of economic criminals who fled India in front of Sunak. He said that people hide in Britain after looting the government treasury in India. Modi told Sunak that Britain should extradite such criminals at the earliest so that they could be punished under the laws of India.
