Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Pemmasani Chandrasekhar has won from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh and today he will take oath as a minister in Modi’s new cabinet. He has already received a call for the ministerial post. NRI doctor turned MP Pemmasani is the richest MP in the country. He has family wealth of more than Rs 5,705 crore. Chandrasekhar, the richest candidate in the country, is also the founder and CEO of ‘Uworld’. Doctor Chandrasekhar’s family hails from Burripalem in Guntur district. His father later moved to Narasaraopet where he ran a hotel.
Chandrashekhar, a doctor turned politician
Chandrasekhar, who hails from Burripalem village in Guntur district, completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad in 1999. He later moved to the US and completed his post-graduation. Chandrasekhar, 48, has an M.D. in internal medicine from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in the US. He served as a faculty at Johns Hopkins University and practised as a doctor.
According to the affidavit filed by Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, he is the richest candidate so far. Dr. Chandrasekhar Pemmasani got a total of 864948 votes in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Kilari Venkata Rosaiah of YSRCP, who lost the election to Vijay Pemmasani, got 520253 votes.
TDP chief Naidu is also very rich

Chandrababu Naidu, who is contesting again from Kuppam assembly constituency of Chittoor district, also has family assets worth Rs 931.83 crore. His wife Bhuvaneshwari has the highest share of Rs 895.47 crore in this property. Chandrababu Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s assets are worth Rs 542 crore. His assets have increased by 45 percent in five years.
