Team India entered the third T20 with 4 changes, vice-captain returns


New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has come out with 4 changes in the third T20 match. The toss was delayed by 70 minutes due to rain. However, the total number of overs has not been reduced. There have been 4 changes in the Indian playing XI. Sri Lankan captain Charit Aslanka won the toss in the third T20 match and invited India to bat first. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, pacer Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant have been rested while Shubman Gill, Khalil Ahmed, Washington Sundar and Shivam Dubey have returned to the playing XI. Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav said after the toss that these four players have been dropped from the playing XI under rest.

Earlier, India defeated Sri Lanka by 43 runs in the first T20 match while in the second T20, the visiting India defeated the hosts by 7 wickets. The second T20 match was very exciting due to rain. India got a target of 78 runs in 8 overs which it achieved by losing 3 wickets.
The toss was delayed due to rain. Earlier the toss was scheduled to take place at 6:30 PM IST.

The vice-captain could not play in the second T20
Team India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill could not play in the second T20 match. Gill complained of neck cramps after which he was kept out of the playing eleven. Gill was able to score 34 runs in the first T20 match. Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal had a partnership of 74 runs for the first wicket.

India 11: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj, Khalil Ahmed.

Sri Lanka 11: Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wicketkeeper), Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Charith Asalanka (captain), Chamindu Wickramasinghe, Wanindu Hasaranga, Ramesh Mendis, Mahesh Theekshana, Mathisha Pathirana, Asitha Fernando.
