Team India on a 1 month break... With which team will the next ODI series be?

New Delhi. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma had to face defeat in the ODI series in Sri Lanka. The team led by Charith Asalanka defeated India 2-0 in the 3 match ODI series. This was the first time since 1997 that Sri Lanka defeated India in a bilateral ODI series. Sri Lanka’s captain and coach were new in this series. The strategy of interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya and captain Asalanka proved to be too much for Team India’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit in the ODI series. India tried many experiments in this series but they were not successful in them. Gambhir and Rohit kept trying to convert batsmen into bowlers while the middle order was completely in shambles. The Indian team will now be seen playing ODIs next year.

Team India has played its last ODI against Sri Lanka this year. Next year, the Champions Trophy 2025 is proposed to be held in Pakistan. The Champions Trophy will be held in ODI format which will be played from 19 February to 9 March. The Indian team will get a chance to play only 3 ODIs next year before the Champions Trophy. Team India will play the ODI series against England next year. The ODI series will start from February 6. The first ODI will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, while the second ODI of the series will be held at Barabati Stadium in Odisha. Both the teams will clash in the third and last ODI of the series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. All three matches will be played from 1:30 pm.

The Indian team will also play a T20 series against England (IND vs ENG) before the ODIs. The T20 will start from January 22, 2025. The England team will play a 5-match T20 series on their tour of India. The first T20 match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai while the second T20 will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The third T20 match will be played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot while the fourth and fifth T20 will be held in Pune and Mumbai respectively.

India vs England ODI series last took place in 2022
The teams of India and England last clashed in an ODI series in 2022. This series was played in England where India defeated hosts England 2-1 in the series. The Indian team has got a month’s break after returning from Sri Lanka. After this, Team India will face Bangladesh in September. Team India will then host New Zealand. At the end of the year, it has to tour Australia where a 5-match Test series will be played which will be under the Border Gaskar Trophy.
