There will be 68 matches between 9 teams
In this cycle of the World Test Championship, there will be 27 series between 9 teams and 68 matches will be played. The top two teams in the points table will qualify for the final which will be played at Lord’s. Each team will play 6 series in the tournament, three at home and three away. There will be two to five Test matches in each series. Each team will have to play 12 to 21 matches. England will get 21 matches while South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have to play 12-12 matches.
Indian team will play 19 matches
The Indian team will play 19 matches in this World Test Championship. It will start in the West Indies next month. From July 12, there will be a two-match Test series between India and West Indies. Apart from Pakistan, India will not play Sri Lanka this time in this tournament of 9 teams. Team India will go to Australia and South Africa in the foreign tour.
