Patna. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, had raised questions on Nitish Kumar’s intentions on three issues, after which the politics of Bihar has heated up. Actually, Tejashwi Yadav had raised the question in a press conference that the intention of the state government to increase the reservation limit after caste-based census was not right. Tejashwi also said that crime has become uncontrolled in the state. Apart from this, Tejashwi Yadav had said on the issue of package instead of giving special state status to Bihar that all these schemes were passed during his tenure.
After these allegations of Tejashwi Yadav, senior minister of Bihar government and close aide of Nitish Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, answered all three questions and also asked Tejashwi Yadav some such questions, which it is interesting whether Tejashwi Yadav will answer or not. Ashok Chaudhary asked the question that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s government was in power in Bihar for 15 consecutive years, but did Lalu’s government put pressure on the Government of India to conduct caste-based census or hold an all-party meeting in these 15 years?
Along with asking questions to Tejashwi Yadav, Ashok Chaudhary said that under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, two all-party meetings were held with the Prime Minister. Tejashwi Yadav should also tell that caste-based census is Nitish’s brain-child which was instilled in his mind by Giani Zail Singh. The honorable leader thinks that caste-based census is for the welfare of the people and that is why he got the caste-based census done so that the government can decide which schemes can be made in the future to work in the interest of the people.
Ashok Chaudhary quipped that perhaps this thing has slipped from Tejashwi ji’s mind that after CM Nitish Kumar came to power in 2005, the welfare department was first divided into two parts. The state government first formed the backward and extremely backward class welfare department as a nodal department in the year 2007. Also, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department was formed in the year 2007 itself.
While Ashok Chaudhary retorted that those who were never well wishers of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes, those who did not even give them the constitutional rights of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes during their 15 years of rule, the Panchayati Raj system, are today talking about protecting the interests of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes. On the question raised by Tejashwi on the issue of rampant crime in the state, Ashok Chaudhary said that during the 15 years of RJD’s rule, terror was at its peak. Due to caste frenzy, the entire central Bihar was soaked in blood due to 118 massacres.
He said that the way political protection was given to criminals during those 15 years, is any such government-protected criminal given shelter in Bihar today? Today there is rule of law in Bihar which is also liked by the public. Ashok Chaudhary also attacked by raising this question that at the time Lalu Prasad ji had a very important role in the center. He even had an important contribution in deciding the Prime Minister of the country. At that time, did Bihar get the status of a special state or was any serious proposal put before the Government of India for this? Not even any economic package was given and neither did Lalu-Rabri ji’s government feel the need to demand it.
