Three BJP MLAs in the Telangana Assembly were on Monday suspended for the remainder of the budget session for disrupting the proceedings of the House. These MLAs were obstructing the Finance Minister in reading the budget. As soon as the day started in the house, State Finance Minister T Harish Rao had started reading the preamble of the budget, when BJP floor leader T Raja Singh tried to stop him. Other MLAs also stood with him and tried to draw the attention of Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. Despite being stopped by Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Singh continued to try to make his point.
Meanwhile, State Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav moved a proposal to suspend all three BJP MLAs Raja Singh, M Raghunandan Rao and Itala Rajendra for the entire budget session. Accepting the motion, the Speaker announced the suspension of the three MLAs.
T Raja Singh was thrown out of the house by the marshals
BJP MLA T Raja Singh was raising slogans. The speaker’s instruction to leave the house was also ignored. After this the marshals picked him up and took him out of the house. Singh later alleged that his rights as an MLA had been violated. Suspending him for the entire session is part of a political conspiracy by CM K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Congress also did walkout
Meanwhile, Congress also boycotted the budget and the party MLAs staged a walkout from the House as the Speaker did not get a chance to speak. Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhati Vikramarka alleged that the Sanad was being run in an undemocratic manner.
