Djokovic has been training with Vajda since he was a teenager. Djokovic joined Vajda in 2006. However, in the middle of 2017, the two separated for a year. After this, both of them started working together again in 2018. Djokovic said – We did some incredible things together. I am grateful for this friendship and for their dedication. He supported me for 15 years.
Djokovic and Vajda parted ways only after the Tour Finals in Turin in November last year. After this, he did not even appear in Melbourne during the Australian Open with Djokovic. However, then Djokovic was also not allowed to play the Australian Open due to a vaccine and visa dispute. Recently, Djokovic also lost the number one crown to Daniil Medvedev of Russia.
