New Delhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh says that India’s forces are capable of taking effective action against terrorism on this side and across the border. He said, Pakistan has also seen this during ‘Operation Sindoor’. But Pakistan is not considering it like a stubborn child. Therefore, it is necessary for the whole world to create all kinds of strategic, diplomatic and economic pressure on Pakistan about terrorism.
The Defense Minister said that Pakistan has always sheltered terrorists, has given them training and many kinds of help on their land. Pahalgam is just an example, the list of crimes of Pakistan -backed terrorists is very long. Pakistan is trying to justify terrorism every time. Therefore, it is important that in the fight against terrorism, we should not only end the terrorists, but also to end the entire terror infrastructure that helps them.
The Defense Minister said, “I had given advice to Pakistan earlier and today I want to say that if you are not able to take effective action against terrorism in Pakistan, then take the help of India.”
The Defense Minister said that when we are free from the threat of terrorism, only then we will be able to move towards the goal of prosperity along with peace and progress in the whole world. The general public of Pakistan also wants all this, but the rulers there have put Pakistan on the path of destruction. No human wants to destroy their roots, but since they have no clear direction, there is no roadmap, so terrorism has become a business in Pakistan.
The Defense Minister reminded that this is the same country where declared terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar roam openly and spew poison. Where the big officers of the Pakistan Army are seen reading Fatiha in the funeral of the terrorists. Now the same Pakistan is expected that it will lead the global community against terrorism, it is no less than a cruel joke. It raises deep questions on both the intention and policies of the international system. It is ridiculed for global fight against terrorism.
The most recent example is that Pakistan has been made the Vice President of the Counter Terrorism Panel by the United Nations Security Council. Surprisingly, this counter-terrariism panel was formed after the 9–11 attack. We all know who attacked 9-11. It is also not hidden from anyone that Pakistan had given shelter to the mastermind of that attack. The Defense Minister said that it was a matter of guarding the cat to guard the cat.
Rajnath Singh said that despite the lacquer, Pakistan has not stopped the wheel of development in Kashmir. Today we are seeing a project like Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link in Kashmir. It was an incomplete hope, not a railway line, for almost 120 years. This dream is now realized.
He said that today India’s armies have not only imported weapons, but also missiles, tanks and other systems and platforms built in this country. Missiles like our Agni, Earth, BrahMos are ready to respond to the enemy today and they are all made in India. Now our country also has the power to make aircraft career like INS Vikrant.
The Defense Minister said that when a nation starts making its security equipment, its weapons, its fighter aircraft and missiles himself, he not only learns to believe in himself, but also gives a message to the world that we are now ‘self -sufficient’, capable and not fascinated by anyone.
The Defense Minister said that today India’s defense exports have increased by about 35 times as compared to 2014. The defense export from India in the year 2013-14 was only 686 crores, it has increased to 23,622 crore in 2024-25 today. Defense products made in our country are being exported to about a hundred countries.
