New Delhi. Sketches of the two terrorists involved in Saturday’s terrorist attack on an Indian Air Force convoy in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir have been released. Along with this, a reward of Rs 20 lakh has also been announced on both the terrorists. Since the attack, a search operation is being carried out by different teams of security forces to nab the terrorists. In this attack, soldier Vicky Pahade, resident of Nonia Karbal area of Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, was martyred while four other soldiers were injured.
Giving more information about this, the Additional Director General of the Army said that after the attack, many suspects have been detained for questioning. Meanwhile, Corps Commander of 16 Corps and ADG Jammu Zone Anand Jain visited the area along with GOC Romeo Force, IGP CRPF and DIG RP Range. Let us tell you that on Saturday, the convoy of Air Force soldiers was going to Sanai Top when suddenly at around 6.30 pm, terrorists started indiscriminate firing in Surankote area of Poonch district, targeting the vehicles of the soldiers.
In response, firing was also done by the army, after which all the terrorists ran away. It is noteworthy that voting is to be held in Anantnag-Rajouri-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency on May 25. This is the first major attack on armed forces in this area this year. The pictures that surfaced on social media after the attack show at least a dozen bullet marks on the windshield of the army vehicle. The soldiers injured in this attack were immediately taken by helicopter and admitted to Udhampur hospital, where one soldier was martyred. The opposition is blaming the government for the timing of this attack, due to which a controversy has arisen.
