Chandigarh. Taking strict action against corruption, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Rohtak has presented the challan in the challan court on serious bribery charges against Sub Inspector Suresh Kumar, the investigation officer of Police Station Lakhnamajra. Section 7, 13 (1) (B), 13 (2) Prevention of Corruption Act and Section 308 (2) BNS against the accused. A case is registered under 2023.
In the complaint given to ACB Hisar, the complainant said that his friend Sanjay resident Ludhiana, police station Lakhnamajra, was arrested in the case number 31 dated 22.2.2025. On March 29, he went to meet Sanjay, a police station with his friend Rajesh, where Taqishi officer Suresh Kumar asked for a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in lieu of not implicating Sanjay and not assaulting him.
After the conversation, the matter was finalized for one lakh rupees. On the same day, the complainant gave 50 thousand rupees in cash and 50 thousand rupees to his son Sunil Kumar from Google Pay. On March 30, Suresh Kumar again demanded Rs 1.20 lakh. The deal was fixed for one lakh rupees and the ACB arrested Suresh Kumar red handed taking this amount.
After the said arrest, the prosecution number 9 dated 30.3.2025 was registered in the police station ACB Rohtak under the Prevention of Corruption Act and BNS. The ACB presented an invoice against the accused in the court today.
