Jaipur. During the ongoing budget session in Rajasthan, politics in the state has heated up after a statement by Congress MLA Harish Chaudhary in the assembly on Thursday. Chaudhary had made a statement on Thakur’s well in the House. There was a lot of uproar in the House over the statement. Now the leaders of the Rajput community of Congress have also come out in protest against the statement of Harish Chaudhary. Former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has expressed opposition to the statement of Harish Chaudhary. Khachariyawas said that ‘Thakur’s well is for people of all castes and religions. Caste-based political statements spread hatred in the society. BJP or Congress leaders do not have the right to spread social hatred.’
Pratap Singh Khachariyawas wrote in one of his tweets, ‘The stove is made of clay, the battlefield is clay, the battlefield is Thakur’s, the war is of the country, the country is of everyone, the handle of the sword is Thakur’s, Thakur’s head is chopped off, Thakur’s mother’s womb is barren, Thakur’s wife becomes a widow, Thakur’s children become orphans…’
Khachariyawas further said, ‘The well belongs to everyone, it quenches everyone’s thirst. It gives everyone the water of love and affection. Whether the house is broken or broken, whether the mansion is small, whether the person himself does not get food, but he listens to everyone. Dalit, oppressed, oppressed..and the one who stands at the back and cries for pain, he comes out to alleviate their pain. He gets his own neck cut but has the strength to die in the village, at the crossroads. That is Thakur’s well. What crime has Thakur’s well committed? Thakur’s well has done the biggest work for the country, for the land, for the mother, for pride, for religion, for truth. It has always gone ahead and got its neck cut. In such a situation, we want to prove him wrong who always lives for everyone. The one who rises above caste and religion and fights for his village, for his country, for the honor of his mother, sister, daughter, that is Thakur’s well.’

In fact, Congress MLA from Baytu, Harish Chaudhary, had made a sharp satire on the budget by reading some lines of Omprakash Valmiki’s poem ‘Thakur Ka Kuan’ in the assembly. Harish Chaudhary had said, ‘Only we can feel what is the condition of Dalits, tribals and backward people inside the budget. Looking at the budget, it seems that these big palaces are for Thakurs.’

There was a lot of uproar in the House over this statement of Harish Chaudhary. Independent MLA from Shiv seat Ravindra Singh Bhati said, “These forts, these palaces are symbols of valor and saga, dedication, surrender and oblation. These forts and palaces were used to save the honor of our sisters and daughters during the attacks of Mughal invaders.” Bhati also accused Harish Chaudhary of refinery scam.
