Kolkata. These days there is speculation about a big game in the politics of West Bengal. This question is being raised loudly in the political circles whether Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Choudhary is going to leave the party. Adhir’s recent statements have only fueled this fear of rebellion. Here, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has given him a strict warning. He even said that ‘Adhir should either follow the party line or go out.’ Meanwhile, what PM Modi said in the Parliament regarding Adhir Ranjan has again come into discussion and people are making many interpretations out of it.
In fact, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has a figure of thirty-six compared to Mamata Banerjee. When Mamata Banerjee recently said that her party TMC is a part of the opposition India Bloc and if the opposition coalition government is formed, then she will provide support from outside. However, Adhir abruptly rejected this hand of friendship extended by Mamata Banerjee.
Adhir’s attack on Mamta
Adhir had rejected Mamta’s offer and said, ‘I do not trust her. He is different from the India block. Now she is trying to meet with us because she realizes that we are becoming stronger at the national level.

This statement of Adhir immediately hit the headlines. Journalists then also questioned Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on this issue. Hardly anyone could have guessed the harshness with which Kharge responded. He clearly said that who is the one to include Adhir TMC in India Block or not.
Kharge enraged by Adhir’s statement
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said during a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday, ‘He (Choudhary) is not a decision maker. We are there to decide, Congress will decide. Therefore, whatever we decide will be right. Whatever we decide will have to be followed and if anyone does not follow it, he will have to go out.

After this scolding by Kharge, it was believed that Adhir Ranjan Choudhary’s attitude would soften, but the opposite was seen. He said, ‘One cannot sympathize with anyone who is ruining the Congress in Bengal’. Along with this, he said that his opposition to Trinamool is to keep Congress relevant in the state.
Adhir again showed rebellious attitude
Chaudhary targeted Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she took the help of Maoists in the tribal dominated areas of West Bengal to come to power. He said, ‘She can do anything to protect her political interests and compromise on her political ideology. But I can’t do that. Adhir even said that being a member of the Congress Working Committee, he is also a part of the party high command.
PM Modi’s statement came into discussion
In such a situation, many speculations are being made in view of the rebellious attitude of Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary. Meanwhile, he is reminding PM Modi of a statement given in the Lok Sabha regarding Adhir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was then replying to the discussion on no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. During this, while referring to Congress leader in the House, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary had said, ‘Some strange things were seen in this no-confidence motion which were never seen or heard before. The name of the biggest leader of the opposition was not in the list of speakers.

PM Modi again hinted at Congress working under the pressure of Mamata Banerjee and said, ‘I don’t know what is your compulsion, why Adhir Babu was sidelined. Don’t know if someone has come to call from Calcutta. What happened to Adhir Babu this time?
Now in the politics of Bengal, these statements of Mamata Banerjee, Mallikarjun Kharge and then PM Modi are being discussed in full swing and everyone’s eyes are fixed on Adhir’s next step.
