In Kota, Rajasthan, Annatpura police, taking major action, arrested the accused couple, who were cheating people by luring them to invest in high returns schemes. Both were absconding for the last three years and were currently living in a rented house in Uttar Pradesh. The police managed to find both of them based on the location of the mobile phone sold by the daughter of the accused. The Kota police has also declared a reward of Rs 10,000 on the accused couple.
City Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan said that accused Pawan Jain and his wife Maina Devi are originally residents of Sarsia Tehsil Jahazpur Bhilwara who recently live in Kunhadi Landmark City. Pawan Jain was a teacher in the Central University in Jhalawar district. Who was also fond of online trading. The accused started trading shares and foreign currencies with his salary and took money on 5% monthly returns. From here the greed of the wind increased and he borrowed money from his acquaintances at 5% monthly interest. First I traded forex with a broker named Octa FX and then traded with a broker of Russian company Nord FX to get more benefits.
Meanwhile, Pawan kept paying to the people for some time, later he invested about Rs 10 crore in trading to the people of Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Bhopal and Indore, but after the account was hacked, people could not pay. After this, people started going to homes and schools and started committing uproar. After which the accused family escaped from Kota. There are five cases registered against Pawan Jain and his wife Maina Devi in Kota and Jhalawar.
In August 2022, the complainant, a resident of Anantpura, lodged a complaint with the police station. It said that he came in contact with Pawan Jain in the year 2018 and in the year 2020, he invested Rs 18 lakh by luring him good profits in a high -returns scheme. When he asked for his money back, the accused threatened to implicate him in a fake case. Permanent warrants were issued against both the accused in the court. In December, the file was sent to the SP office to declare both the accused as a fugitive.
