New Delhi. In connection with the fire in the ‘Game Zone’ in Rajkot, Gujarat, late on Monday night, the police arrested the fourth accused in the case, Dhawal Thakkar. He is one of the six partners of the game zone. Earlier, the district court sent the three arrested accused to 14 days of police custody. A total of 32 people, including 10 children, lost their lives in this accident. Special Public Prosecutor Tushar Gokani said that the court of Special Judicial Magistrate B.P. Thakkar sent Yuvraj Singh Solanki, Nitin Jain and Rahul Rathod to police custody for two weeks. Gokani said, “The main basis for the 14-day remand was that the arrested accused were not cooperating in the investigation, they were giving evasive answers to whatever questions were asked to them.”
The prosecution also told the court that other accused in the case are still absconding. Gokani said that when asked about some documents, the accused claimed that they were burnt in a fire. He said, “We told the court that the main accused are absconding and the arrested accused are not cooperating with the investigating agencies.”

The special public prosecutor said that the accused Solanki tried to pretend before the court to express that he regretted whatever happened. He said, “When he entered the court, he tried to show that he regretted the incident and everyone thought he was crying. After five minutes, he was laughing and arguing in the court.” 32 people, including 10 children, died in a fire at a ‘game zone’ in Rajkot on May 25. An FIR has been registered against six partners of ‘TRP Game Zone’ under relevant provisions including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
