Accused arrested for molesting woman in Bengaluru.
The case of molestation of a 34-year-old woman who went out for a morning walk in Bangalore had shocked the whole country. People were raising questions on the law and order of the city. However, now the Bangalore Police has informed that the accused of molesting the woman has been arrested. Police said that the accused was arrested on Monday. This incident of molestation took place at 5 am on August 2 in Konanakunte police station area of South Bangalore.

The viral video showed that the woman was waiting in front of a house. Suddenly a man comes from behind and grabs her. The accused grabs the woman and molests her. The woman screams for help and manages to escape but the accused follows her. The accused tries to overpower the woman, but the woman tries to escape from his clutches. However, when the woman screams for help, the accused flees from the spot.

According to the information given by the police, this incident of molestation took place in Konanakunte police station area of South Bengaluru when the woman was waiting for her neighbor early in the morning. This incident, which went viral on social media, was captured in the CCTV camera of a house on the street. After this, the police started investigating the matter and caught the culprit on Monday. According to the information, the accused is a cab driver and he often used to take corporate employees from that place (narrow street) to their workplace.

After looking at the CCTV footage, the police traced the victim and asked her to lodge a complaint. The accused has been booked under sections 74 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 75 (sexual harassment), 78 (stalking), 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of woman) and 126 (wrongful restraint) of the IPC.
