Google Maps The biggest update ever has been released for Google Maps. With the new update, users will get 5 new AI features in their smartphones. Sundar Pichai announced these features of Google Maps in the recently held Google I/O 2024. After the new update, many AI features will be available in Google Maps including Live View, Google Lens in Maps. Users will now be able to use Google Maps not only for navigation but also for many other day-to-day activities. Come, let’s know about these 5 new AI features of Google Maps…
1. Live View
This new feature of Google Maps will help users to navigate to nearby restaurants, ATMs, parks, etc. Google has made many tasks of users easier by adding this new feature to its Maps. With the latest update, users will see a camera icon in the map, after tapping on which they will be able to turn on Live View searching. As soon as users turn on Live View searching in Maps, they will be able to see nearby ATMs, parks, public places, etc.
2. 3D immersive view
In this new AI feature of Google Maps, users will get a new 3D immersive view in street-level photos. After the arrival of this feature, users will feel as if a 3D movie is playing in the maps. During navigation, users will see 3D images of the streets and buildings around them.
3. Lens in Maps
Google Lens has been integrated into Google Maps. With the help of this new AI feature of Google, things around will be visible in augmented reality in Maps. Users will be able to activate Google Lens by going to the camera option given in the map.
4. Conversational Search
This new AI feature of Google Maps will provide detailed information about anything to the users. This feature will prove to be especially useful for places where users are going for the first time. Users will be able to collect information about the new location through this feature.
5. Project Greenlight
This is a part of Google’s new project, which will tell users about traffic flow based on AI and Google Maps data. It will also provide information about traffic lights to users.
